Methods, systems, and media for indicating a security status of an IOT (internet of things) device
US10834200B2 · Issued Nov 10, 2020
This patent details the use of Augmented Reality (AR) on a handheld device such as a smartphone (or head-worn smart-glasses) to identify the security status of IOT devices visually. This enables the user to easily 'see' compromised devices in augmented reality.
While this patent submission was made in 2017 and granted in 2020, imagine an implementation in a modern type of headset, such as Apple’s Vision Pro device.

Crowdsourced Reputations for Wireless Networks
US20210302592A1 · Issued Dec 22, 2019
This invention describes a system where “bad" Wi-Fi networks are shown to the user of a mobile device via Augmented reality (AR), either through the screen of the mobile device or through head-worn smart glasses.
As the user views their surroundings through their mobile device or smart glasses, augmented reality markers are overlaid onto the scene. These markers indicate whether the WI-FI in the close vicinity or establishment is safe to use, or is compromised.
