Back in 2009, I created an iPhone app called Top-Tens to see how easy it was to make some money as an app developer. It wasn’t! There were many pitfalls, and I made many rookie mistakes.
So I wrote a book called How NOT To Write an App, where I use my experiences to take the reader step by step through the things that should, and shouldn't, be done when creating an app for iOS or Android devices.

How NOT To Use Your Smartphone (2012)

One year later, I published my second book. It’s hard to believe, but back then, not everyone had an iPhone or tablet. And they weren’t seen as ‘proper’ computers, either. So I reasoned that anyone new to the world of smartphones and tablets might not give a second thought about how to use their shiny new device safely. Hackers, cybercriminals, and general bad guys are everywhere. And smartphones and tablets are an easy ‘in’ for them. So I thought it important to inform people of this and to provide them with tips and tricks that they can use to keep their devices and their info safe.
